According to a new study conducted by LOCALiQ, cannabis helped more than half of the almost-9,000 participants reduce their prescription drug use.

In the study, 8,805 participants in cannabis-legal states--ages 21 to 64--were surveyed. 52% of participants reported a reduction in their need for prescription drugs, while 49% of them reduced their OTC painkillers. And alcohol? 37% of participants said their alcohol intake diminshed since they started consuming cannabis.

This study piggybacks off of others suggesting similar positive affects of cannabis consumption. We already highlighted the promising study conducted on the reduction of opiate consumption in one of our blog posts, but there are so many more amazing therapeutic benefits to this plant (like managing PTSD!)
